Amped A10 Electric Balance Bike – Quick Overview

Best for: young riders aged approximately 3–6 years old.

Ideal rider height: smaller riders and children under around 105cm.

Motor: 150W electric motor with 240W peak output.

    Top speed: 7mph.

Why parents choose it: lightweight, premium build quality and smooth confidence-building power delivery.

Our view: one of the best premium first electric bikes for young riders starting their riding journey.

The Amped A10 is designed to be the perfect first electric bike for young riders. Lightweight, simple and confidence-inspiring, it helps children progress naturally from balance-bike riding into powered throttle control.

With smooth power delivery, premium construction and a manageable 7mph top speed, the Amped A10 is a strong choice for parents wanting a high-quality first electric bike for riders aged around 3–6.

Not sure if this is the right first bike? Compare the Revvi 12 vs Amped A10, read our Amped A10 vs A16 guide, or view our under 105cm rider guide.

My Take as a British MX Rider

The Amped A10 is one of the best premium starter bikes for very young riders because the power delivery feels smooth and predictable rather than aggressive.

For children moving on from a balance bike, confidence is everything. Lightweight bikes like this make learning throttle control much easier.

For younger riders wanting a premium first electric bike, the A10 is a brilliant starting point.

    Amped A10 Bundles

Best value: many parents choose an Amped A10 bundle when buying a first electric bike.

The Amped A10 bundle collection can include useful first-rider extras such as riding gear, helmet options or starter packages depending on availability.

Who Is the Amped A10 Best For?

The Amped A10 is best suited to younger riders who are just starting their electric bike journey. It is usually a strong choice for children around 3–6 years old, especially those moving on from a normal balance bike.

If you are choosing by age, read our best electric bike for a 3 year old and best electric bike for a 4 year old guides. If you are choosing by height, our under 105cm electric bike guide is the best place to start.

Where Does the Amped A10 Fit in the Range?

The Amped A10 is the smallest electric bike in the Amped range and is usually the best starting point for young riders. The next step up is the Amped A16, which gives riders a bigger frame and more room to grow.

    Choose Amped A10 If...

    • Your rider is around 3–6 years old
    • You want a premium first electric bike
    • You want a lightweight 9kg bike

To arrange a return please Contact Us and we will guide you through the process.

    Warranty

All Amped bikes come with a 6-month warranty covering manufacturing defects on all major parts.

We recommend keeping your original box and packaging throughout the warranty period in case the bike needs to be returned to us.

    What is covered

    • Manufacturing defects on all major parts for 6 months from the date of purchase

    What is not covered

    • Normal wear and tear parts including bearings, tyres, tubes, chains, sprockets and cables
    • Damage caused by incorrect assembly or failure to tighten and lubricate components correctly
    • Damage resulting from improper maintenance, storage or use
    • Labour costs — this is a parts only warranty

Warranty parts postage is covered to UK and Ireland addresses only. Customers outside of the UK and Ireland will be liable for the cost of postage on any parts supplied under warranty.

The warranty will be void if the bike is:

    • Used in wet conditions
    • Modified in any way
    • Used for anything other than recreational riding

    Important Assembly Notice

Amped Bikes accepts no responsibility for damage caused by incorrect assembly. Spare parts can be difficult to source, so please take care during assembly and ensure all bolts and components are correctly tightened and lubricated before every ride. If you are unsure, please seek the help of a qualified mechanic.

Revvi full-face helmet sizes

How to measure

Measure around the widest part of the rider's head. The tape should pass above the eyebrows and ears and around the fullest part at the back of the head.

SizeHead circumference
XS, Extra Small48 to 50cm
S, Small51 to 54cm
M, Medium55 to 58cm
L, Large59 to 61cm

Always choose by the rider's actual head measurement, not by age. Head shape can also affect how a helmet fits.

Between sizes? Do not automatically choose a larger helmet for growing room. A helmet must fit securely now. If the rider falls between sizes, check the fit carefully before use.

Amped AMP-1 helmet sizes

How to measure

Measure around the widest part of the rider's head. The tape should pass above the eyebrows and ears and around the fullest part at the back of the head.

SizeHead circumference
M, Medium54 to 58cm
L, Large58 to 62cm

Always choose by the rider's actual head measurement, not by age. Head shape can also affect how a helmet fits.

Measuring exactly 58cm? That falls in both sizes. Fit varies with head shape, so check the measurement and that the helmet sits securely before use. Do not choose a loose helmet to allow growing room.

Revvi riding jersey sizes

Choosing a size

The Revvi Kids Riding Jersey comes in dedicated sizes for younger children and growing youth riders. Select the size before adding it to your basket.

SizeAge guide
Age 2About 2 years
Age 3About 3 years
Age 4About 4 years
Age 5About 5 years
YS, Youth SmallAges 6 to 7
YM, Youth MediumAges 8 to 9
YL, Youth LargeAges 10 to 11

Ages are a guide only. Consider the child's height, build and preferred fit too.

Between sizes? If the rider is between sizes, still growing or likely to wear a base layer underneath, the larger size may be more comfortable.

Kids riding jersey sizes

How to measure

Compare these with a jersey or long-sleeve top that already fits the rider well. Chest width is measured across the front with the jersey laid flat, so it is half the full chest.

SizeAge guideHalf chestLength
2 to 3Ages 2 to 331cm49cm
3 to 4Ages 3 to 433cm51cm
4 to 5Ages 4 to 535cm53cm
5 to 6Ages 5 to 637cm55cm
6 to 7Ages 6 to 739cm57cm
YS, Youth SmallAges 7 to 941cm59cm
YM, Youth MediumAges 9 to 1145cm63cm
YL, Youth LargeAges 11 to 1449cm67cm

Ages are a guide only. The chest width and body length are the best way to choose.

Riding glove sizes

How to measure

Palm: straight across the widest part of the palm, not including the thumb.
Length: from the base of the wrist to the tip of the longest finger.

SizeAge guidePalm widthHand length
2 to 3Ages 2 to 36.5cm11.5cm
4 to 5Ages 4 to 57cm12cm
6 to 7Ages 6 to 77.5cm12.5cm
YS, Youth SmallYouth Small8cm13.5cm
YM, Youth MediumYouth Medium8.5cm14cm

Use the measurements rather than age alone. Hand shapes vary, so check both wherever possible. Once fitted, make sure the rider can comfortably use the throttle, brakes and every handlebar control.

Between sizes? The larger size usually gives a more comfortable fit and a little growing room, but the glove must not get in the way of safe control of the bike.
